Axarcomedy In The UK This is centre for information about the fledgling Axarcomedy group recently created in the UK. This page will be updated as and when we have news about the new group. What is it? One of Axarcomedy's original line-up, Dave Bowman, is bringing Axarcomedy to the north west of England. If you write or perform comedy, or would like to, contact Dave. His details are at the bottom of this page. The format will be roughly similar to the Costa del Sol group, mixing original sketches, parody songs and stand-up. The emphasis is on writing and performing new material, not telling old jokes you've already heard.
When and where are the meetings? The plan is to have the first meeting on Wednesday September 26th at a venue to be decided, somewhere in the vicinty of Congleton. If Congleton is close but just that little bit too far to go, tell Dave. Can I write for both the English and Costa del Sol groups? That's the idea. The UK group will use material written by us here in Spain, and we hope to use material generated by the UK group. (And if anyone would like to form a third group somewhere else in the UK or abroad then there'd be even more to share.) Can I write for the UK group without going Oop North? Yes, that's what our Virtually Hilarious group is all about. It's an internet-based writing group that originally supplied material to the Costa del Sol group but will now also service the UK group.
